Blood Collection Tubes for Diagnostic Laboratories and Specimen Collection Programs
Supera Fulfillment sources, warehouses, and distributes blood collection tubes to diagnostic laboratories, clinical research organizations, and at-home testing brands across the United States. Operating from our FDA-registered, ISO 13485 certified facility in Houston, Texas, we supply tubes from manufacturers including BD, Greiner Bio-One, Sarstedt, and Streck — the brands laboratory professionals actually specify when accuracy and sample integrity are non-negotiable.
Tube Types We Supply
The right blood collection tube depends entirely on the downstream assay. EDTA tubes — available in K2EDTA and K3EDTA formats — are the standard for hematology panels and molecular testing requiring whole blood. Serum separator tubes (SST) with clot activator and gel barrier support chemistry panels and immunoassay platforms. Lithium heparin and sodium heparin tubes serve plasma-based chemistry and toxicology workflows. Sodium citrate tubes are used for coagulation studies where the blood-to-additive ratio is clinically significant.
For programs requiring biomarker preservation over extended transport windows, specialized stabilization tubes matter. Streck Cell-Free DNA BCT tubes preserve circulating tumor DNA and cell-free DNA for up to 14 days at ambient temperature — a critical requirement for liquid biopsy programs, oncology testing, and minimal residual disease monitoring. Streck RNA Complete BCT tubes extend the same protection to RNA targets. These are not interchangeable with standard EDTA tubes, and selecting the correct tube is a pre-analytical decision that directly affects assay sensitivity.
Kit-Ready Integration
Most of our laboratory clients don’t purchase tubes in isolation. Blood collection tubes are a component of a larger specimen collection kit — assembled alongside swabs, transport media, requisition forms, biohazard bags, and return shipping materials. Our ISO 7 cleanroom assembly operation integrates tube selection into a complete kit build, packaged to your specifications and distributed to collection sites or directly to patients nationwide.
With 200+ laboratory clients served since 2020, our team understands how tube selection interacts with the full pre-analytical workflow. Sitara Waidyaratne, our founder, brings 25 years of clinical laboratory experience to every product decision — including which tube formats perform reliably across collection sites with variable handling conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Additive selection depends on your assay. EDTA is standard for hematology and molecular diagnostics. Heparin tubes are used for plasma chemistry. SST tubes support serology and general chemistry panels. Sodium citrate is used for coagulation testing at a fixed 9:1 blood-to-additive ratio. If you share your assay requirements, we can confirm the appropriate tube type.
Yes. We distribute Streck stabilization tubes including the Cell-Free DNA BCT and RNA Complete BCT, which are commonly used in liquid biopsy, oncology, and prenatal testing programs that require ambient-temperature transport without immediate centrifugation.
Yes. Tubes are routinely integrated into fully assembled kits built in our ISO 7 cleanroom. We coordinate all kit components — tubes, swabs, media, packaging, and labeling — assembled under ISO 13485 quality controls and shipped to your distribution specifications.
Our primary suppliers include BD (Vacutainer line), Greiner Bio-One (VACUETTE line), Sarstedt, and Streck. We can also accommodate client-specified manufacturers or work from your approved vendor list.
